Wicks to Rebuild Austin/Möller in Rochester

Organ Restoration is Music to Their Ears

Earlier this week, “Wicks Organ Company, of Highland, Ill., will begin dismantling the church’s 3,429-pipe organ, easily the city’s largest and one of the biggest in the state. The instrument will be removed, serviced and returned.”

“The full overhaul, which includes installing a state-of-the-art, computerized mainframe console, will cost about $600,000. When completed in eight months to a year, it will take about a month to reassemble the organ at Christ United Methodist.”
