Christian William Dieckmann (1880-1963)
was born in Ohio and was known for his tenure at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia. He became an FAGO in 1918 after study
with T Tertius Noble. From the archives at Agnes Scott, I am pleased to present these two articles:
“A Tribute to A Man and To Agnes Scott,”
The DeKalb Pictorial News, March 1964; and
“40 Years of Music at Agnes Scott,”
Agnes Scott Alumnae Quarterly, Vol XXIII, “Swords and Plowshares,” Spring 1945.
Michael’s Music Service was given several of his unpublished works by his daughter, and, given
sufficient interest, these will be forthcoming. Moderately easy.
