Michael's Music Service, 1983–present.
I play freelance weddings, bar mitzvahs, etc. I find difficult-to-find organ and choral music for clients as
well as perform them if desired. I serve as advisor and consultant for groups wishing to buy or redesign an organ.
I also encourage new music and organize the commissioning of new organ and choral pieces. I am the artist
representative for several fine organists and choirs.
Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd,
2014–2018. I am the organist, choir director, and handbell director, playing all services,
weddings, and funerals on a II/25 Organcraft (1997).
Epworth United Methodist Church,
2007–2014. I was the primary organist, playing the principal service,
weddings, and funerals on a II/18 Schantz (1998).
St Gabriel Roman Catholic Church,
1993–2004. I was the full-time organist and played all services, weddings, and funerals.
St Gabriel's has a II/20 Zimmer organ (1987).
Brodt Music Company, 1983–1993,
2002–2004. I was the main resource coordinator for organ music at Brodt's. I know what is available and
how it may be ordered, and if it is out of print, how to get a copy if that is possible. I maintain relationships
with publishers and recommend to them what it useful to organists. I keep six legal file cabinets of organ music
from early editions (pre-1900) to modern manuscripts including a great deal of American and out-of-print music
and organize the stock orders. Since Brodt's business has closed, I now concentrate my efforts here at Michael’s
Music Service.
