This Is Newly Printed Music
Robert Leech Bedell (1909-1974)
wrote compositions which include approximately forty organ works, pieces for organ and instruments, and choral music.
He was fond of finding and promoting unknown music and was an avid Francophile, naming his publishing company
“Edition Le Grand Orgue.” “Noël with Variations” was the first published organ composition by Bedell
and reflects his interest in French organ music. It was dedicated to Hugh McAmis (1899–1942), who at the time was organist/choirmaster
of All Saints Episcopal Church in Great Neck, New York. Moderately easy.
