Dudley Buck (1839-1909), a contemporary of Eugene Thayer and John Knowles Paine, was one of the early American organ virtuosi who composed many works for the organ. Triumphal March, Opus 26, was published in 1868, the second of 5 original organ pieces written while Buck resided in Hartford, Connecticut. This happy march came 2 years after his still-popular Opus 22, the Grand Sonata in Eb. Moderate.
