Joseph Waddell Clokey (1890-1960) was an organist and composer of many compositions in various media; he wrote more than two dozen organ works. Although he was an excellent artist and photographer, he was widely known for a while as the father of Art Clokey, the creator of Gumby and Pokey and Davey and Goliath. This piece was Clokey’s impression of a Norwegian village (he didn't live or visit there) and as such it is really fun to hear and appreciate. This is an atmospheric piece that everyone can play. Easy.
