This Is Newly Printed Music
Roland Diggle (1885-1954) was born in England and moved to the United States in 1904. He was a tireless advocate of organ
music and wrote and arranged an enormous number of published pieces. This piece is dedicated to Joseph Hall Greener (1888–1976), AAGO,
who emigrated from Durham, England, and was organist at Christian University Church in Seattle and organ professor at Seattle University.
There is no recognizable Irish melody here, but Diggle presents a theme and variations with an unmistakable Irish effect. It’s
perfect for a Saint Patrick’s Day service or concert. Moderately easy.
