This Is Newly Printed Music
Edward C Fisher (1848-1913) was born in Vermont and emigrated to Canada in 1875. While attending Boston Conservatory in 1867, he studied organ with Eugene Thayer. Fisher began the Toronto Conservatory of Music using $5,000 of his own money. He was called “the Mendelssohn of Canada” in 1908 and was awarded an honorary D Mus for his achievements. This is the only organ piece by Fisher, and we have it because Thayer had it published as part of his Album for Organists. Moderate.
