This Is Newly Printed Music
Clarence Kohlmann (1891-1944)
is best known for his 20 year tenure as organist in the Ocean Grove Auditorium; he wrote the famous “Ushers March” which
is still played there today. Oddly subtitled “Transcription,” this arrangement treats the melody respectfully and
dramatically within a quiet context. I could see this as a prelude or a communion piece during Lent or Advent. Easy.
