John Hermann Loud (1873-1959), born in Weymouth,
Massachusetts, was a student of Henry M Dunham at New England Conservatory, Alexandre Guilmant in Paris, and J Varley Roberts in England. A
frequent recitalist, he was organist of Harvard Church in Brookline and Park Street Church in Boston. In 1895, he was the first American to earn
the ARCM, and he was a Fellow of the American Guild of Organists. March Processional is useful for programs and as service
music. Moderately easy.
