Harvey B Gaul (1881-1945), student of Buck, Guilmant and Widor, is best
known for his prolific output of compositions and transcriptions. He was also
known for his scholarly writing, and you can

an example from 1918.
Spinning Song is known to many piano students from “Songs Without Words,”
Op 67 No 4, and although it’s not often heard on the organ, Gaul’s arrangement of it makes a terrific fast,light encore. Moderate.
