presents five well known gospel songs in settings designed to highlight
the strong points of both the organ and the piano. These could be used as a part of morning worship service in some churches
and evening prayer service in some. One or two of these might be included in a recital program where a local piano student could
handle the piano part. These arrangements are written for a church organist playing a church organ.
Rosa Rio lived for many years in Sun City Center, Florida, with her
husband Bill Yeoman before her death on May 13, 2010, and she has studied
and played every kind of organ ever made. Her study at Eastman and her command
of traditional harmony are especially evident in these arrangements. These
arrangements demonstrate superb musicianship, great style, and practical keyboard
techniques. They are easy and satisfying to play and hear.
