Edwin H Lemare (1865-1934) is perhaps the best known organist in the art of transcription. Schubert’s Sérénade was Lemare’s fifth published transcription, and for all of his fans, Lemare included plenty of his famous trademark, thumbing down. Everyone recognizes the melody of this famous song. Moderately easy.

Jesse Crawford played one of the Wurlitzer organs (II/7 probably) in the Wurlitzer Building, Chicago, Illinois, Victor 19521, Nov 17, 1924. Crawford’s arrangement is different from Lemare’s in some places, especially the middle, but it is basically the same, minus the typical Crawford ornaments.
