Charles A Stebbins (1874-1958) studied with Wilhelm Middelschulte and Gaston Dethier and held church positions in Ohio and Illinois. The Swan is a programmatic piece based on the “The Swan,” by Alfred Lord Tennyson. He dedicated it his teacher, Dethier. Moderately easy.
