Firmin Swinnen (1885-1972), born in Belgium,
is best known for his involvement with the organs at the du Pont estate, Longwood Gardens. Swinnen was in the midst of his tenure as
organist at Longwood Gardens at the time of writing this suite. This programmatic music is dramatic and requires an orchestral organ for best effect. Difficult.

The main theme has changed from the minor to the major mode, and is mostly given to the pedals. The middle part brings the themes
