Pietro Alessandro Yon was born in Italy in 1886, moved to the US in 1907, became a citizen in 1921, and died in New York on the Feast of St Cecilia, 1943, at age 57. Arpa Notturna is the eighth of Twelve Divertimenti. It calls for a harp though you could substitute a 16' bourdon and soft 2' flute with tremulant and with swell shades closed (suggested by Gordon Balch Nevin). Moderate.
