Pietro Alessandro Yon was born in Italy in 1886, moved to the US in
1907, became a citizen in 1921, and died in New York in 1943 at age 57. He
is best known for the beautiful Christmas song, Gesù Bambino,
and for his tenure at St Patrick’s Cathedral, New York City. Moderate.
