Northwestern University and studied with Guilmant, Widor, and Vierne. He served as organist/choirmaster of Brick Presbyterian
Church, New York City and as Director of the School of Sacred Music at Union Theological Seminary. He was a
founder of the American Guild of Organists
. Charlotte Lockwood was a student
of Widor and Dickinson. She received degrees from Salem College and Union Theological Seminary. She was
organist-director of Crescent Avenue Presbyterian Church, Plainfield, New Jersey, organist of West End Synagogue, New York City,
and on the faculty of Union. Interesting to me, she worked in churches in Reidsville and Greensboro, North Carolina. Moderate.
