This Is Newly Printed Music
Ralph Kinder (1876-1952) was born in England but spent most of his life
in the United States of America. He studied organ with Edwin Lemare and wrote
many organ pieces. This is one of the two pieces that he composed for organ
based on a hymn tune. The
Fantasia on Duke Street is one
of three pieces that were his first published organ works (1904). I consider
this piece to be moderate to moderately difficult. To my knowledge, there have
been no complete recordings of this piece. (Also in this set:
Festival March &
Berceuse)
