George E Whiting (1840-1923), a student of W T Best, was head of the organ department at New England
Conservatory and organist for the Boston and Cincinnati Music Halls. If you’re curious about “The Great
Organ” in the Cincinnati Music Hall, I suggest some of the pages at
www.spmhcincinnati.org. Whiting’s
Processional Prelude is a short piece with a lot of contrast
suitable for repetition of certain sections if needed. Easy.
